History
SAMPA KOGYO K.K. was founded after the end of World War II by former Japanese Imperial Navy engineering officers and government engineers to preserve their excellent technology and to prepare for recovery of defense industry for the future.
To this day, we continue to carry out the vision of our founders, striving to improve advanced technology to support the defense equipment for Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.

Established in Hiranuma, Yokohama.
1947
Jul.
Commenced installation, maintenance and repair service of the Japanese Imperial Navy developed radar Type 22,
used by whaling ship in Antarctic.
1950
Jan.
Authorized by RCA as Service Agent for RCA Marine Equipment.
1952
Mar.
Authorized by U.S. Navy's Military Sea Transportation Service, Far East and French Navy in Far East to provide engineering services for electronic equipment.

Commenced installation and testing of electronic equipment in first JMSDF Destroyer YUKIKAZE in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Kobe shipyard.

Commenced repair services for electronic equipment of anti-submarine patrol aircraft P-3C.
1988
Nov.
Commenced weapon systems engineering services in support of GE Co. (Now Lockheed Martin) for a new class of JMSDF AEGIS ships.

Concluded the licensing agreement with Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha, Ltd. for repair of the AN/BRA-34 Submarine Antenna which was procured by JMSDF and manufactured by Granite State Manufacturing Co., Inc.

Received a letter of appreciation from Director General, JDA for SAMPA's long history of excellent contributions to JDA.

Commenced circuit cards/modules repair for TARTAR FCS MK74 equipment under licensing agreement with Raytheon, Equipment Division.
